The Bonita Community Team is currently working hard to finish a collaborative tool to share Bonita Open Solution Extensions: “Contributions”. The technical part is ready – we are focusing our work on the web design in order to provide an easy-to-use tool. You have ideas, you want to share your connectors, your process examples…”Contributions” is for you!
This week, some discussions about twitter mashups with Bonita Open Solution started on twitter, the Community forum and Skype!!! Everyone is asking me: “What can I do with Twitter in Bonita Open Solution? I have some ideas but is it easy to implement?” My answer is: “yes it’s easy”. Thanks to the Twitter java api: Twitter4j, Twitter connectors are very easy to develop. The only limitation is due to the fact that M5 doesn’t yet support java types. With M5 you can develop your connectors quickly, but it’s hard to use complex data returned by these connectors (example: a list of tweets). A video to show how to develop a connector will be available very soon. If you have specific needs for Twitter (or any other connector), check this discussion: Integrating with Twitter – exploratory thoughts
